Community Housing Trust of Monterey County, Inc., quick facts:

Community Housing Trust of Monterey County, Inc. (CHTMC) is a California public benefit non-profit corporation. It was incorporated and bylaws adopted in late 2004. CHTMC is a charitable organization exempt from tax under CA Revenue and Taxation Code § 23701(d) [received in February 2005] and Internal Revenue Code § 501(c)(3) [received in October 2005].

Donations to CHTMC are tax-deductible as charitable contributions. CHTMC has secured support and financial assistance as follows:

• California Association of REALTORS® Housing Affordability Fund in coordination with Monterey County Association of REALTORS® - $100,000
   

• Monterey County Association of REALTORS® - $10,000
   

• First National Bank - $20,000 received.
   

• City of Seaside - $100,000 payable in installments; the first installment of $25,000 has been received.
   

• City of Monterey - $100,000 payable in installments; the first installment of $25,000 has been received.
   

• County of Monterey, Housing and Redevelopment Department - $25,000 Over-the-Counter Grant (approved - currently being finalized).
   

• The Kelton Foundation and the Kelton family – a grant of $5,000 has been received.
   

• Requests for support and assistance are in process with several other Monterey County cities.
